When you are working with Oracle Coherence, you can use Coherence plugin for Java VisualVM to monitor it.
In this post you will learn how to install Coherence Plugin in Java VisualVM.
You can download coherence-jvisualvm.nbm file here: http://coherence-community.github.io/coherence-incubator/12.1.0/jvisualvm/index.html.
If you have WebLogic and SOA Suite installed on your computer, you will find it in <WLS_OR_SOA_HOME>/coherence/plugins/jvisualvm folder.
Go to Java Home, navigate to BIN folder and run jvisualvm file.
In Java VisualVM, go to menu, choose Tools and then Plugins.
In Downloaded tab, click Add Plugins and choose coherence-jvisualvm.nbm file.
Click Next, accept the terms and then click Install.
If you receive a Validation Warning, just click Continue and then click Finish.

Do not forget to enable the JMX properties when you start your Oracle Coherence (using -jmx).
